Voices from the Heart: KKU Staff Senate Holds Listening Session at Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences to Enhance University Development 🚀🏛️

The Khon Kaen University Staff Senate, led by Ajarn Suphanut Siriarisoonphongsakorn, Council President, and Assistant Professor Raksawan Jaisaard, Chairman of the Personnel Participation Strategy, organized a “Listening Session for Khon Kaen University Staff” as part of their Summer 2025 initiative 💬🌞. The forum provided staff with an opportunity to share opinions, suggestions, and needs aimed at improving quality of life and workplace conditions across all dimensions.

🧩 ERP System: Recommendations for regular stability checks to prevent operational issues
🛵 Traffic Safety: Promotion of helmet use 🚨 and improvements to roundabouts and pedestrian crossings for enhanced safety
🚗 Insufficient Parking: Particularly around the Health Science Center
💸 Salary Increases and Provident Fund: Staff requested more comprehensive communication on these matters
🧾 Benefits Information: Suggestions to create easy-to-understand infographics 📊 for benefits such as maternity leave and medical care rights
🌳 On-Campus Housing: Safety concerns identified, including fallen trees after storms ⚠️ and inadequate maintenance systems
🏢 Housing Management: Requests for clearer designation of the responsible department and improved security measures
💉 Vaccination Coverage: Requests for reimbursement rights for preventive vaccines, especially influenza vaccines
🧮 Position Allowances: Staff inquired about the Council’s role regarding this issue
📲 Appsheet Time Recording: Frequent errors causing delays in data receipt and potential loss of benefits
🏨 Accommodation Privileges: Suggestions for KKU-affiliated hotels to offer staff discounts, similar to Thammasat University’s practice
🔇 Noise from Activities: Recommendations to control noise levels during quiet hours to avoid disturbing residents at Pa Du flats
This listening session represents an important step by the Staff Senate in serving as a “voice bridge” connecting opinions to university development through participation 💖. The goal is to create a positive working environment and balanced quality of life for all KKU personnel 🧡.
